Thank you for considering Irons Homestead as the location for your upcoming event. We are a not-for-profit Outdoor Ministry Center serving a wide range of religious and nonprofit organizations during all seasons of the year. Bedrooms: There are 9 bedrooms set up with 15 bunk beds plus a storage room that has one bunkbed. Eight of the bottom bunks are double bed futons. The rest of the beds are standard twins. You must supply your own linens, towels, blankets and pillows. Linen service is now available for $15/person. There is a sink in each room.
Bathrooms: Each bathroom has two toilets, two sinks and two private showers. We supply hand soap, toilet paper and paper towels.
Kitchen: Our kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, full-sized refrigerator, coffeemaker and dishwasher. We have two crock pots and a full array of pots, pans and baking sheets. There are place settings for 30 which also include platters and serving bowls. There is a propane grill outside the lodge with tongs and spatula. We supply paper towels, napkins, coffee, filters, tea and sugar. You supply your food or we can provide food service upon negotiation.
Meeting Room: This 28’ X 21’ room features a working fireplace. There are round and rectangular tables that seat 8 each and 40 cushioned chairs. We have a variety of board games and puzzles. Also available are easel, TV/VCR/DVD, and CD player. There are an assortment of Bibles and a few song books. A water cooler provides both chilled and hot water. Also, a small selection of floor pillows.
Screened Porch: Our large screened porch offers bug free outdoor relaxing space. It has chairs and end tables.
Our 70 acres has several walking trails, a labyrinth, fire circles, swing set and slide, sand volleyball court, chapel, open lawn, a large meadow and ½ basketball court. Also a large, stone charcoal grill, near the pavilion.
Pavilion: Our Pavilion is 75’ X 25’, has a concrete floor and electricity. It has several picnic tables, two long benches and a large fireplace. There is a propane fired grill. A water spigot and porta-potty are nearby.
Waterfront: Our beach is located on Coomer Pond a ¼ mile walk from the lodge. Swimming is available June – September. All groups are required to have a certified lifeguard presents to use the beach or to boat. The lifeguard fee is $20 per hour (Minimum of 2 hours) to be paid directly to lifeguard. Life jackets are required for all boaters. There is a porta-potty at the beach and no running water or electricity.
Barn: Our barn is available May 1 – June 10 and August 15 – October 30. The meeting room is 36’ X 23’, and has a sink, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.
Quaker Building: The Quaker building is the oldest building on the property. It offers a small meeting space that can accommodate 10. There is electricity but no running water or heat.
CD/cassette/radio, VCR/DVD, television, and easels: No charge
Games & Puzzles: No charge
Volleyball, Basketball, Horseshoes, Gaga: No charge
Coffee and Tea: No charge
Food Service: Negotiable depending on menu
Linen Service: $15/person
Life Guards: $15/hr for a min. of 2 hours.
Electronic Keyboard and Stand: $25
Deposits and Refund policy: The facility fee for overnight stays serves as the deposit. A deposit of $50 is required for day use. 100% of your deposit will be refunded outside of 60 days before your reservation date. Within 60 days, the deposit is non-refundable.
Damages: Please report any and all damages to the director immediately. Guests will be held responsible for all damages caused by misuse by your group. A bill with be sent with your invoice following your stay.
