Chapel Street Church donates $1800 to Houston SPCA


Elaine Hodgson, a member of Chapel Street Congregational Church, has successfully spearheaded a fundraiser to help the animals in Houston that are victims of Hurricane Harvey. She raised $900, which was matched by the RI SPCA, to make a total of $1800. Hundreds of Harvey-displaced animals at the Houston SPCA have been reunited with their owners in the last several weeks and they continue the process of helping the remaining companion and large animals return home. After 30 days, they will begin to focus efforts on re-homing or fostering animals displaced by this catastrophe. The goal is to reunite all the animals to their owners.
