The following is an announcement from Transitional Conference Minister the Rev. Marilyn B. Kendrix:
After considering several possible sites, the Rhode Island Conference has selected the Edgewood Congregational Church as the new location for the conference offices. The decision to move the conference offices from Pawtucket was made in an effort to reduce costs; the move to Edgewood will significantly lower the cost of renting office space.
While the move was initiated for financial reasons, other factors played into the choice. Cranston is centrally located within the Rhode Island Conference boundaries, making it a good location for meetings. While the offices themselves are not accessible to all, there is meeting space in the church building that is accessible that the conference may use whenever it is needed. Additionally, Edgewood Church has plenty of parking and wifi is readily available within the building.
The move to the new space will take place during the last week of July, and by the beginning of the next program year in mid August, it should be completely operational.
